HrvatskiProf. Saša Zelenika Ph. D. and Assist. Prof. Ervin Kamenar Ph. D. on April 16, 2019, held two lectures to students of the seventh and eighth grades of Čavle Elementary School in order to develop positive attitudes towards science and technology as the basis of the society’s progress and within the Multidisciplinary Day Safe Children. One of the bearer of the event is the University of Rijeka – Center for Micro- and Nanosciences and Technologies and Faculty of Engineering. Presentation of the project Technological solutions – basis of the society’s progress and a lecture on how scientists trying to solve some of the world’s problems (global warming, poverty) by working in laboratories and achieving technological solutions using micro and nano technology were held in front of a total of 152 students. The presentation also promoted the Researcher’s Night, an event dedicated to the popularization of science and learning through entertainment and is held every year in September.
